D. Craig Kerley, Psy.D.
Georgia Licensed Psychologist
Through the use of Secondlife, a free Massive Multiplayer Online Environment (MMOE) software
package and service, you are able to meet with me in a virtual face-to-face manner in a virtual office.
Avatar-based Cybertherapy provides a relatively anonymous method of interacting with a therapist.
While current communication in Secondlife is limited to typed chat conferences, voice chat is
expected to be offered in the very near future.
Getting Started with Avatar-based Cybertherapy
Before entering therapy, please go to the Secondlife download page, download the software
according to their instructions, and sign-up for a free account. Next, please download and complete
the appropriate forms. You can then either fax (678-623-8234) or email (info@drkerley.com) them back
to me. To schedule your first appointment, please call (770-449-0082) or email (info@drkerley.com) me
so that we can find the best time to meet.
Avatar-based Cybertherapy Rates
The rate for Avatar-based Cybertherapy is $100 per 50 minute session. Or if you prefer to pay in the
currency of SecondLife (Lindens) the cost is L$31,000 per 50 minute session. Please keep in mind that

In cyberspace, the term "avatar" is used to
describe one's personal manifestation in a virtual
world. It may be the visual image you create for
yourself, as well as the psychological character or
persona you present to others. Avatar-based
Cybertherapy provides a virtual approximation of
traditional face-to-face therapy available in
cyberspace.
